VERBATIM:

A total of 45 American Girl Dolls were stolen from the Barnes and Noble Bookstore in the Avenue of Murfreesboro. The theft was reported on Thursday morning by a store manager. As one might guess, the value of the theft was well over $1,000.

WGNS phoned the store on Friday afternoon to inquire about the theft and to find out how much each doll cost at full retail…. they would not give us an answer. We asked if the dolls that were taken were the full sized dolls that sell for $100 or more and they told us the district manager would have to answer that question.

A police report shows that the store may have the theft on video. The case is under investigation at this time.  Robert Rickman WGNS news.
