MURFREESBORO, TN (WGNS) - Greenhouse Ministries is tuning up for one of its most exciting nights of the year as Live In the ’Boro returns Friday, September 18, 2026, from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. at Hop Springs. Now in its fifth year, the event is leveling up once again—this time with a special appearance by American Idol Top 3 finalist Jordan McCullough, whose hometown connection and powerhouse vocals are expected to draw a big crowd.

The evening blends local talent, community celebration, and the mission of Greenhouse Ministries, which has served Murfreesboro since 1999. Founded by Cliff and Jane Sharp, the nonprofit began with no budget and no staff—just a desire to help neighbors in need with dignity, compassion, and practical support. Today, Greenhouse serves dozens of families daily through food assistance, clothing, Life University classes, mentoring, and transitional housing.

“Live In the ’Boro” has become one of Greenhouse’s signature events, evolving from a 25th‑anniversary celebration in 2024 into a polished, high‑energy talent competition. What started as a simple showcase at MTSU’s Student Union has grown into a full production featuring video auditions, eight finalists, a gourmet dinner, and even a silent auction that once included a Taylor Swift‑signed guitar.

This year’s event keeps the momentum going. Artist submissions are officially open, giving local performers the chance to compete for a grand prize of up to $1,000. Anyone interested in taking the stage is encouraged to sign up early, and with Jordan McCullough headlining, organizers expect tickets—just $25—to move quickly.

Whether you’re cheering from the audience or stepping into the spotlight, Live In the ’Boro offers a chance to celebrate Murfreesboro’s creativity while supporting a ministry that has spent 27 years helping neighbors find hope, stability, and connection.

Tickets and performer applications are available now, and Greenhouse Ministries says they can’t wait to welcome the community for another unforgettable night at Hop Springs.
