LA VERGNE, Tenn. (WGNS) - Rutherford County Schools will officially open the new addition at La Vergne High School at 2 p.m. Sunday (August 16th).
Sunday's celebration starts outdoors with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 2 p.m. The event then moves inside for official remarks and guided tours of the new facility.
The 80,000-square-foot, three-story expansion adds 27 new classrooms to the campus. It also features dedicated career and technical education spaces, updated science labs, and a new lecture hall to support students.
Led by principal Dr. Theowauna Hatchett, La Vergne High School serves approximately 1,900 students in grades 9 through 12. The school is located at 250 Wolverine Trail in La Vergne.
