SMYRNA, Tenn. (WGNS) - Emergency crews cleared the scene of a single-vehicle collision involving a dump truck and a utility pole that forced a temporary closure of Rocky Fork Road near Cooks Lane on Tuesday (September 8th).
Deputies with the Rutherford County Sheriff's Office (RCSO) responded to the area to divert traffic and secure the scene while utility crews from Middle Tennessee Electric (MTE) addressed the downed equipment and damaged power lines.
First responders evaluated the drivers involved at the scene and reported that everyone escaped with minor injuries.
Crews worked continuously to repair the power pole and remove the damaged dump truck from the roadway.
