SMYRNA, Tenn. (WGNS) - ESPN filmed its official Monday Night Football opening sequence at Hollingshead Aviation in Smyrna, bringing national television production crews directly to Rutherford County. It debuted during this past week's Monday Night Football game between the Denver Broncos and Kansas City Chiefs.
The shoot featured country music star Chris Stapleton alongside legendary drummer Cindy Blackman Santana performing a reimagined cover of Phil Collins' 1981 hit song, "In the Air Tonight." Production teams collaborated directly with the Town of Smyrna to secure the aviation facility and coordinate logistics for the large-scale event.
