MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WGNS) - Rutherford County Mayor Randy Allen has officially sworn in Suzanne Wakefield as the new Assistant Chief Deputy of Accounting for the Rutherford County Trustee’s Office.
The ceremony marked Mayor Allen’s first official swearing-in since he took office on September 1st.
Wakefield comes to the position with more than ten years of professional accounting experience. She holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU).
In her new role, Wakefield will help manage the Trustee's Office accounting and bookkeeping operations, handle banking procedures, and oversee online tax payment systems while directly serving local taxpayers.
“We’re excited to welcome Suzanne to our team, and we believe that her accounting and customer service skills will be of great value as we continue to serve Rutherford County,” Trustee Teb Batey said.
“I have always wanted to serve the community that I live in, and I feel like this is a perfect place to do that,” Wakefield said.
