RUTHERFORD COUNTY, TN (WGNS) - Rutherford County is bracing for a soggy and windy weekend as the remnants of Hurricane Isaias sweep across Middle Tennessee. Forecasters say we’ll see heavy rain, gusty winds, and a Flood Watch stretching from early Saturday morning through early Sunday. Weekend Events Impacted Because of the incoming weather, several outdoor activities across Rutherford County have already been postponed, put on hold, or cancelled. - Sat., Oct. 9 the 4th Annual Classic Car Show benefiting the Alzheimer's Association at AdamsPlace (1925 Memorial Blvd., Murfreesboro) has been moved to Saturday, October 24, 2026 (10AM-3PM) at AdamsPlace. Flood Watch in Effect The National Weather Service has issued a Flood Watch from 1:00 AM Saturday until 7:00 AM Sunday, with rainfall totals expected between 1 to 3 inches, and possibly higher in some spots. The heaviest rain is forecast for Saturday afternoon into Saturday night, and low‑lying or poor‑drainage areas could see localized flooding. Wind gusts will be widespread, ranging from 30 to 40 mph, with isolated gusts topping 45 mph.
