Realtor's Volunteering in the Community, Helping Others

Members of the Middle Tennessee Association of REALTORS (MTAR) performed a month-long community service project during October. REALTOR and Affiliate member firms “adopted” nursing and assisted living facilities in MTAR’s 8-county area, touching over 1000 residents lives. MTAR members worked closely with each facility’s Activities Director to cater to a need at that particular facility.

The residents were treated with Bingo and game parties with lots of prizes, goody bags, musical programs, autumn door and room decorations, arts and crafts, and landscaping with pansies.  "It was truly heart-warming to share time and smiles with the residents. Several of our Member companies are planning to continue their sponsorship with their adopted facilities throughout the year,” said Lynn Tede with Bob Parks Realty in Smyrna, chairperson of the project.
