A scout troop on their way to a hike on the Appalachian Trail apparently had a minor bus accident while on route to their destination. Troop 416 is headed by Tom Caldwell. The scout troop is based out of First Baptist Church in Murfreesboro and minister Phil Potratz told WGNS that injuries sustained in the accident were not serious. Potratz told us that four of the scouts were transported to the hospital with what he described as bumps and bruises. He did say that one child had a minor concussion. Again, the scouts were on their way to a hike when the accident occurred and none of the scouts were seriously injured in the accident.
