You may be surprised to learn that exposure to the sun can be just as damaging in winter as in summer. The sun's ultraviolet (UV) rays can inflict damage on the head, neck and ears that often remain uncovered during the cold winter months.

"We're celebrating our 15-year anniversary in Murfreesboro this year, and want to offer this free clinic to the community as a way to say 'thank you' for 15 great years. Also, we want to emphasize to people that it's vital to have a full-body skin exam regularly. It's important that people catch any potential skin problems, especially in hard-to-see areas, like the back and the scalp, before they have a chance to grow," said Dr. Bell.
