Suspect accused of using stolen Social Security number to gain employment in Murfreesboro

A worker at a local hotel has been arrested after Murfreesboro Police were contacted by authorities in Torrance, California. Evidently, an employee at Embassy Suites Hotel is accused of stealing the victims Social Security Number in California and then passing it off as his to gain employment in Murfreesboro.

Authorities subpoenaed the Embassy Suites to gain access to the employee files belonging to David Jonathan Gomez Montoya, who is also known as Antonio Monterosa. The suspects W-4 and I-9 forms within hotel files had the victims Social Security Number on them. A Mexican Consular card was later found in the suspects' wallet, which revealed his true identity.

The suspect is now being held at the Rutherford County Adult Detention Center in Murfreesboro.
