At 12:06pm Thursday (9/10/15), Murfreesboro officers responded to the Red Stone Federal Credit Union at 2943 S. Rutherford Blvd. in reference to a robbery. The suspect entered the bank and demanded money. The teller complied and the suspect left the area on foot.
The culprit is described as a black male wearing a white button-up shirt with blue jeans. He had a brown baseball cap pulled over his face. He was seen running from the rear of the building towards 2827 S. Rutherford Blvd.
A little over an hour later at 1:54pm Thursday (9/10/15), Murfreesboro officers responded to the First Tennessee Bank at 305 W. Northfield Blvd. in reference to a second robbery. The suspect in this case was located a short distance from the scene and taken into custody without incident.
The robberies are not believed to be connected.
