Charity Circle's preeminent fundraising events The Ugly Duckling Ball and Patrons Party announce their leadership and dates. The Ugly Duckling Ball, or Duck Ball as it is commonly referred, is slated for Saturday, April 30, at Stones River Country Club. The Patrons Party will be hosted in the picturesque Mirabella home of Dr. Britt and Mrs. Jan Mioton, Saturday, April 16 at 7 p.m. Chairing the Duck Ball parties is Charity Circle member and local designer Lori Sain Smith. Lissa Young and Lady Hamilton will spearhead the Patrons Party.

Duck Ball Chair Lori Smith invites you to "Let your imagination and palette cross the Atlantic travel into the sites and flavors of the European cultural center, France. At the Patrons Party, step into the Mioton's courtyard garden and the greens and blues of the French countryside and treat yourself to the farm-fresh flavors and decors of the regions at the cocktail dinner buffet."

"At a our grand event, the Duck Ball," continued Smith, "We will feature the sites and sounds of thela Ville Lumière, Paris. The four-course, black-tie dinner will feature meats, cheeses and breads the discriminating Parisian palette would appreciate. Following the dessert course, party-goers will frolic into the French nightlife and onto the dance floor to swing the night away to the sounds of the Erik Blue Band. As the French might say, joie de vivre"

Charity Circle is a women's organization founded in 1910 and benefits the health and welfare for families in Murfreesboro. In 2015, the organization distributed more than $305,000 to thirty-three local agencies.
