Murfreesboro Police are investigating a fatal crash involving two cars and a motorcycle on Franklin Road (Highway 96) and Veterans Parkway.
According to Police Spokesman, Sgt. Kyle Evans, all three vehicles were traveling eastbound or toward Murfreesboro on Franklin Road around 12:30 Tuesday afternoon.
As a brown, Honda Civic and a yellow BMW motorcycle slowed to approach the traffic light at Veterans Parkway, the driver of a silver Saturn struck the bike from behind, pushing it into the rear of the Honda. The motorcycle driver was ejected and struck by the Honda Civic.
The motorcycle driver was pronounced deceased at the scene by Rutherford County Emergency Medical Services personnel. None of the other drivers were seriously injured.
The names of those involved haven't been released at this point pending notifications. The M-P-D's Fatal Accident Crash Team (FACT) are investigating.
