Valentines Day shooting in Murfreesboro

There was an early morning Valentine's Day shooting in Murfreesboro (2/14/17).

A 19-year-old victim was shot multiple times in the groin and abdomen area inside a University Ridge apartment. Police say they found JaKarius Reynolds on the floor of the apartment located at 2707 South Rutherford Boulevard. Police also found a 17 year old in the same apartment with a grazing wound.

Police report that the occupants of the apartment heard a knock at the door. Thinking it was a friend, they opened the door which was when an altercation began. During the Tuesday morning incident, the two men in the apartment were shot.

Right now, the names of the two men who entered the apartment is not known. However, the case remains under investigation.
