Tiny homes for disabled U.S. Veterans in Tennessee is an idea that has been floating around Rutherford County for quite some time.

That was Willie Franklin. He is the Executive Director of "A Home 4 Hero's" in Tennessee. Franklin said that he wants to see fully livable tiny homes in all 95 Tennessee counties, including Rutherford County.

A fundraiser has been planned for December 2nd on the MTSU campus that will help pay for new tiny homes for Veterans. Because Franklin has a background in music as a songwriter and musician, he has helped to organize an event called Tennessee Idol.

All of the money raised at Tennessee Idol on December 2, 2017 will go towards building tiny houses for Veterans in Tennessee.

If you would like to be in the competition and sing, visit TennesseeIdol.com.
