Our WGNS / Rion Flower Shop Good Neighbor of the Day is Roger Toombs. Someone wrote, "They went to lunch one day last week at Demos' and he saw an elderly lady come in by herself. He told the crew that he was with that he saw her come in alone and they should encourage her to eat with them. She did. Come to find out, her husband had passed and she came to eat lunch alone. It was her birthday. Not only did they pay for her meal, but Roger and the rest of his lunch mates posed for the notorious picture with the birthday cake that Demos' always makes. The lady was so happy that she was in tears and even sent them a thank you note this week." Today, Roger Toombs will receive flowers from Rion Flowers and Gifts in Murfreesboro.
