A 16 year old Murfreesboro boy was airlifted after a motorcycle crash Saturday afternoon on Dale Ridge Road in Smithville.
Trooper T.J. Withers of the Tennessee Highway Patrol said the teen was traveling north on a Kawasaki motorcycle when he failed to negotiate a curve and slid into a guardrail. The force of the impact broke the bike into two parts.
The teen was airlifted from near the scene in neighboring DeKalb County and flown to Vanderbilt Medical Center.
