Jack Maddux attended the Five Points Volunteer Fire Department fundraiser barbecue in Cornersville, Tennessee where he won a Winchester Rifle in the event's raffle. As a former police officer and Second Amendment advocate, Jack Maddux personally owns several firearms and has made campaigning for Second Amendment rights one of his top priorities in his congressional race. However, the Conservative is a devoted pro-life supporter that dedicates his motivation to enter this congressional race to his anti-abortion stance.
Because of this, the congressional candidate sold the Winchester Rifle he won for $500 and decided to donate the money to the local Pregnancy Resource Center on Thursday, July 26.
Established in 2002, the Center is a 'faith based pro life organization' dedicated to providing help and support to the women and families experiencing unplanned pregnancies. One of the Center's goals is to one day offer free ultrasounds for the women that seek their counseling and support. Jack Maddux understands the importance and impact of an ultrasound, which is why, if elected, he is planning on sponsoring legislation requiring abortion clinics to offer its patients their right to see their ultrasounds. Despite huge advancements in ultrasound technology, abortion clinics like Planned Parenthood, for example, are not required to offer patients ultrasound images and, in fact, purposefully avoid showing them to the patients due to the image's high resolution of the baby and its features. Jack Maddux personally delivered the $500 donation to Shirley Lowe, director of In His Image Pregnancy Resource Center, yesterday.
As a middle-class man of faith, husband and father, Jack Maddux believes that life begins at conception, is sacred and precious in the sight of God and that it is our duty to protect innocent life at all costs.
