(MURFREESBORO) It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas, and Traffic Engineer Ram Balachandran has a gift to help 'Boro motorists reduce tie-ups during the now through December 21, 2019.

City Construction Projects

Utility Work (Haynes Dr at Sulphur Springs Rd, along S Church St, NW Broad St and Old Fort Pkwy)

Expected Lane Closures: Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 3:00 pm : City traffic signal contractor will be performing utility work at the above locations. There will be lane shifts and traffic interruptions. Appropriate traffic controls will be in place.

Roadway Improvement Work (Blackman Road just north of Manson Pike

Expected Lane Closures: Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 3:00 pm : Contractor for a private development will be performing roadway improvement work along Blackman Road just north of Manson Pike. There will be shoulder work, lane shifts and minor traffic interruptions. Appropriate traffic controls will be in place.

Utility Work for Rutherford County Courthouse (W Main St at Maple St/West Side of Public Square)

Expected No Lane Closures: Monday through Thursday, 7:00 am to 5:00 pm: Contractor for Rutherford County will be performing utility work at the west side of the Public Square near W Main St and Maple St. There will be minor lane shifts and traffic interruptions. Appropriate traffic controls will be in place.

Annual City Street Paving Projects

Expected Lane Closures: Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM: City paving contractor will installing HC ramps at the following streets:

  1. Highland Ave at Bell St
  2. Highland Ave at Burton St

Expect lane shifts and traffic interruptions. Appropriate traffic controls will be in place.

RUTHERFORD COUNTY, SR 99 (New Salem Hwy) resurfacing from Cason Lane to I-24

RUTHERFORD COUNTY, The construction of pedestrian facilities on SR 96 from east of Camden Court (LM 8.32) to east of Gresham Ln (LM 8.60) in Murfreesboro
