Barbee Wins AAA Miss Basketball

The winner of the Class AAA Miss Basketball Award was announced at the conclusion of the championship game Saturday at Murphy Center. Shacobia Barbee from Riverdale was named Miss Basketball for 2012.  The other two finalists were Nina Davis from Memphis Central High School and Bashaara Graves of Clarksville High School. Barbee is a 5’11”, senior, post.  She is a four year starter for the Warriors who averages 16 points, nine rebounds, four assists, and five steals per game.  She shoots 48% from the field, 21% from three-point range, and 58% from the free-throw line.  She has been an All-District selection three times and was named the district tournament MVP twice.  Shacobia was the MVP of the state tournament in 2010 and was the winner of the Class AAA Miss Basketball award last year.
