Do you like to travel? Have you always wanted to meet people from different cultures? Why not do that right here in your own community?

Read To Succeed is offering English as a Second Language classes at a location near you. Come and teach or volunteer. Meet people from countries all over the world; Guatemala, Burundi, Iran, El Salvador, Burma, Russia, Mexico, Sudan, and so many more!

The training will be August 11th and 18th from 9:00 AM- 2:00 PM at the Lon Nuell Literacy Center in First Baptist Church, Murfreesboro. Lunch will be provided. You will learn the best techniques to teach someone a new language.

Read To Succeed is in need of volunteer teachers and assistants at all of our sites across the county. You will be matched based on your interest, location, and availability. Volunteers need to have a high school diploma or higher. Volunteers do not need to speak another language in order to teach.

More information may be viewed at www.readtosucceed.org or contact Shelly Stanley at (615) 738-7323 or adultliteracy@readtosucceed.org to attend.
