Riverdale came from behind and held off Franklin Thursday night to take a 30-25 win.

The Admirals scored on their first drive and so did the Warriors. But after that, two Franklin scores up them up 19-7 with 5:33 left in the first half. With 1:36 to go, Riverdale got within five on a 10-yard run by Xaylyn McKinnie:

The Admirals would take an 11 point lead early in the 3rd quarter but took a safety on their next possession. Just about a minute and a half later, Marcus Lloyd found paydirt on a 14-yard scamper to pull the Warriors within two, 25-23.

Then, with 9:33 left to play, B.J. Connard busted a big run to gave Riverdale a 30-25 lead:

Riverdale's C.J. Johnson picked off Franklin quarterback Connor Beavon for the only turnover of the game as their defense held off the Admirals in the final minutes.

Warrior quarterback Jameson Holcomb was 13-of-17 passing for 119 yards and a touchdown. Connard had 14-carries for 81-yards and Lloyd had 11-carries for 53-yards. Riverdale had 179-yards rushing, 119 passing for 298 yards.
