(MURFREESBORO) Murfreesboro City schools as well as Rutherford County schools will both open two hours late Tuesday (1/12/2021) morning.
In addition, Murfreesboro City School’s virtual learning students will also begin with a two-hour delay.
Plus, the city’s ESP (Extended School Program) will be open from 6 a.m. - 6 p.m. for Group A students.
The late school opening on Tuesday will allow time for the sun to come up so school bus drivers and the public to better see the road conditions in case of ice.
With overnight temperatures expected to drop in the low 20s, there is a possibility of refreezing, especially on back roads.
Again, the Murfreesboro City schools and Rutherford County schools will both open two-hours late on Tuesday (1/12/2021).
