COMING UP: Secure Your ID Day in Murfreesboro - Document Shredding

Better Business Bureau of Middle TN will host Secure Your ID Day, a document shredding event aimed to increase public awareness about identity theft prevention.

On Saturday, April 17th, 2021 the community can shred their personal documents - mail, old bank statements, paycheck stubs, credit card applications and more – for free from 9:00am to 12:00pm or until the truck is full.

The Location sponsor of the event this year is Planet Fitness.  The event will be held in their parking lot at 1954 Old Fort Parkway in Murfreesboro.

The shred truck sponsor is MAXSHRED. There is a limit to 3 Banker Boxes of documents per car. No metal items. Please remove any documents from binders. Staples are OK. Businesses and Consumers with more than 3 banker boxes should contact Max Shred maxshred@comcast.net or call 615.692.9682

Cars will be directed along a designated route in the parking lot. All consumers bringing shred items or canned goods must remain in their car.  All workers at the event will be required to follow current CDC guidelines for Covid.

In addition to offering shredding services, Murfreesboro Rotary Club will be collecting non-perishable food, toiletries, and bicycles (working or non-working) to support Greenhouse Ministries.
