For the Past Week, KVFD members have been participating in Vehicle Extrication Training. This training has been provided by Rutherford County Fire-Rescue in preparation of KVFD receiving new extrication equipment purchased by the county fire department.

RCFR, KVFD, Lascassas Fire, and Christiana Fire sent a total of 26 students through the 7 day - 36 hour course that taught all aspects of vehicle extrication, and touched on other subjects including farm equipment rescue and commercial vehicle rescue.

This Training and new equipment places KVFD and the other volunteer departments in a MUCH better position to provide safe, efficient, and life saving rescue to those injured in serious vehicle accidents.
