(MURFREESBORO) Cases of coronavirus are again increasing, and Ascension St. Thomas Rutherford Foundation has decided to postpone WINE AROUND THE SQUARE.

Foundation Coordinator Hayley McCracken said, "We are extremely disheartened to notify you that we will be postponing our 2021 Wine Around the Square.  Due to the increase in COVID-19 cases combined with a projected increase in numbers over the next several weeks that is predicted to peak at the time of our event, we feel this is the best decision for the health and safety of our community. This decision was not an easy one, but with our hospital, caregivers and community being stretched so thin at this time we know postponement is the right decision to keep our sponsors and guests as safe as possible."

Future Date Not Known

The Foundation has not decided on a future date yet.

McCracken noted, "We will update you as we continue to evaluate the health risks over the coming months. It is our wholehearted hope to move forward with the event in 2021 or early 2022. We thank you for your loyal support as we strive to continue to fund our Power of Pink campaign, Rutherford County’s premier program in the fight against breast cancer."

If you have any questions about your sponsorship or donation, please contact the Foundation Office at (615) 396-4809.
