If you have questioned how well the Volunteer State is doing in their economic recovery from the COVID Pandemic – then a new study may answer your curiosity.

According to TopAgency.com, Tennessee’s economy is the 6th worst in the nation (preceded by Michigan, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and Illinois) - when it comes to COVID recovery. But, it's not all bad news.

Based on the analysis of millions of data points across 23 key metrics organized into three key indicators of economic recovery — Consumer Confidence, Job Market Strength, and COVID-19 Safety — the 2022 rankings represent the first comprehensive, post-pandemic study of the leading indicators of economic recovery (or deterioration).

Numbers show Tennessee is showing promise, economically speaking. The state’s Gross domestic Product (GDP) has increased by 11%, when compared to pre-pandemic figures. This means that Tennessee ranks in the 8th BEST position Nationwide for their GDP scores.

The analysis released on Tuesday shows that Tennessee has the 18th BEST job market strength in the U.S.

Despite the high marks, numbers show that the state has work to be done in the area of consumer confidence. Tennessee scored at number 33 in that category.
