A new school was all the talk at the February 28th meeting of the Murfreesboro City Council. Murfreesboro City Schools are once again seeing growth in excess of 4%, and a new campus is scheduled to be constructed for the fall of 2014. In fact, the architectural plans are already in place, and now, we have a location as well. City Manager Rob Lyons explains...
The location has been approved pending a closer examination and evaluation of the land, which may present a problem with sinkholes. The results of that testing are expected within a matter of weeks, at which point work will move forward, unless the grounds prove unfit, in which case 1 of the other 8 sites initially under consideration will be presented to the council for another vote.
