(MURFREESBORO)  Remember the fatal one-vehicle crash that occurred around 1:00 o'clock Labor Day (9/5/2022) morning at the corner of East Clark and Tennessee Boulevard? Jamir Johnson, the driver of the vehicle, has been arrested and charged with vehicular homicide and three counts of vehicular assault.

The 24-year old Perry, Georgia resident was treated for injuries at Vanderbilt University Medical Center and was discharged this past Saturday (9/10/2022) when he was arrested and taken to the Rutherford County Adult Detention Center.

The Murfreesboro Police Department Fatal Accident Crash Team (FACT) report that Johnson's red Dodge Charger ran off the road and hit a tree. An open bottle of alcohol was found in the car. Speed may have been a contributing factor to the crash.

During the preliminary investigation, witnesses told investigators, the car’s headlights were not on.  However, FACT members have since confirmed that the headlights were on at the time of the wreck.

Passengers

Front-seat passenger 22-year old Marcus Webb of Lebanon died at the scene. Since the accident, all survivors have been hospitalized and are recuperating from their injuries.

20-year old Brandon Pace, Jr. remains in critical condition at Vanderbilt Medical Center. 20-year old Jeremiah Matthews and 22-year old Lamar Childress are in stable condition at St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital.

All three of them are residents of Nashville.
