(VERSAILLES COMMUNITY)  Historian and District 8 County Commissioner Pettus Read discovered a very unusual happening during this past weekend's tornado. An unexplainable event took place in the cemetery that was started in the early 1800's beside the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. That's in the Versailles community of Rutherford County.

Read explained . . .

He noted that local residents picked-up the large tombstones and put them beside the proper grave. Now an outside firm has been contacted who will permanently cement them to each base.

By the way, the cemetery had persons burried there who date back to the 1700's.
