MURFREESBORO, TN - A 19-year-old woman was sexually fondled after leaving her apartment. The incident, that occurred in late April, happened at an apartment in the area of Hazelwood Street and Lascassas Pike.
As the woman was walking back to her unit, an unknown man approached her as she neared the steps to the second floor. The victim told Murfreesboro Police the culprit grabbed her by the waistband and said, “Where are you going tonight sweetie?” When the man grabbed her by the waistline, he reportedly pulled her close and grabbed her buttocks. The woman pulled away and immediately went back upstairs.
When police arrived, they learned the man may have left the area in a black sedan. The MPD further advised a special watch was placed on the apartment complex in hopes of locating the offending individual. The incident was labeled as a “Sexual Battery.”
