(MURFREESBORO) Rutherford County's Habitat for Humanity is just days aways from its 9th Annual “Build It Forward Panel Build”. This coming Saturday (10/28/2023), 100 volunteers will swarm the parking lot in front of the Rutherford County Chamber of Commerce, 3500 Medical Center Parkway. Within a five-hour period, all of the walls for a Habitat home will be built and joined.

When the structure is complete, it will be disassembled and moved to a permanent location in the Legacy Pointe subdivision, off Halls Hill Pike.

New home owner, Tabitha, will witness the walls being framed and actually walk through the structure with the 100+ volunteers, while sharing love, dreams and being a light of encouragement. She has been going through Habitat’s Financial Literacy and Homeowner Education Program, while tallying-up 250 hours of partner equity, working on Habitat house constructions for her and other Future Homeowners.

A special THANKS to local sponsors Ann Hoke & Associates, SEC Inc, and MYP. They are covering the costs of the framing lumber package for Tabitha’s house. Ann Hoke & Associates has sponsored the "Build It Forward Panel Build" every year since 2015.

Rutherford County Area Habitat for Humanity, a non-profit, non-denominational Christian housing ministry, seeks to bring people together to build homes, communities, and hope. This is done through building quality, energy-efficient, affordable houses while partnering alongside working families. Homes are built by RCHFH construction staff, Future Homeowners, and community volunteers. After a home is completed, it is sold to the family at no profit with an affordable monthly mortgage.

Again, the event takes place on Saturday (10/28/2023) from 9:00AM – 2:30PM at the Rutherford County Chamber of Commerce parking lot, 3050 Medical Center Pkwy, Murfreesboro.

PS: Don't Forget Habitat's COOKIN' TO BUILD
