(SMYRNA, TN) Mostly sunny with temps around 63, a perfect day for the 48th Smyrna Christmas Parade. And record crowds lined Lowry Street to get candy, hear the bands playing Christmas music, enjoy young dancers from the community and of course, the top attraction was Santa and Mrs. Claus riding atop a Smyrna Fire-Rescue Department truck.

The Town of Smyrna has a big heart, and they're always wanting to help those in need. That's why they've been collecting non-perishable food for Nourish Foodbank. In fact, 3,200 items of food were collected at the Smyrna Christmas Parade.

If you wish to give more food, the Town of Smyrna will continue collecting non-perishable items through the end of this coming week at the Smyrna Fire-Rescue building on Lowry Street.
