(MURFREESBORO) The Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Breakfast that was scheduled for this coming Saturday (1/20) has been moved to the following Saturday (1/27). The start time is unchanged at 9:00AM and it will remain in MTSU's James Union Building. The event is sponsored by the Murfreesboro NAACP and this year's theme is "The time is always right to do what's right", a quote from Dr. King.
Murfreesboro NAACP Publicity Chair Peggy Swann told WGNS News, "The only difference for the MLK Breakfast is the day it's held, and that's for the safety of those who attend."
The National Weather Service predicts temperatures to be around 8-degrees with icy rain this coming Saturday morning. By moving the MLK Breakfast to the following Saturday (1/27) the temperature will instead be around 50-degrees.
The speaker is Roland Butler, III of Walnut Grove Church.
Once again, the MLK, Jr. Breakfast has been moved from this Saturday morning (1/20) to the following Saturday (1/27). It remains in MTSU's James Union Building, 516 Alma Mater Drive, Murfreesboro and starts at 9:00AM.
