A LoJack car security locator system helped Murfreesboro Police track down a 2005 Chevy pick-up truck this week. Officers responded to the victims address on Maple Street this past Monday and determined that the truck was stolen, possibly overnight. The victim believes the thief may be the same person who broke into her home on May 1st. Evidently her keys were taken in that burglary.

Officers used the LoJack system to track the vehicle down to an address on Houston Drive. When neighbors were questioned by authorities trying to figure out who took the truck, no one seemed to have any details for officers. So at this point, the vehicle was found and returned to the rightful owner, but no suspect has been nabbed.

In an unrelated story, a 2007 Lincoln MKX was also stolen sometime between Sunday and Monday. In that case, the vehicle was not recovered. It was entered into NCIC after it was taken from a hom eon Virginia Avenue in Murfreesboro.
