La Vergne’s Parade of Lights - Mark your calendars! La Vergne is set to dazzle residents and visitors alike with its 14th Annual Parade of Lights and the accompanying Winter Festival... That was La Vergne Mayor Jason Cole. Again, the Parade of Lights will be on Saturday, December 7, 2024. This year’s theme, “I’ll Be Home For Christmas,” pays homage to the season of togetherness and gratitude.

The parade begins at 5:00 p.m. at City Hall and travels along Murfreesboro Road, ending at Veterans Memorial Park. Participants will light up the night with illuminated floats, vehicles, and signs. La Vergne Police Officers Ashley Boleyjack and Gregory Kern, both survivors of a 2023 officer-involved shooting, will serve as the parade’s grand marshals, a heartfelt choice reflecting resilience and community support.

While the parade’s glittering floats will delight spectators, safety comes first: candy and handouts will not be distributed along the route.

Winter Festival Highlights - The festivities start earlier in the day with the Winter Festival from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Veterans Memorial Park. This family-friendly event features:
