Take 25, a day that was proclaimed by President Ronald Reagan in 1983 as a day to talk to your children about the dangers of child abduction, will be held in Murfreesboro on Saturday. Take 25 is named after a child abduction case in New York that took place on May 25th in 1979.
Sgt. Melvin Cunningham with the Murfreesboro Police Department told WGNS the free event will be from 10AM to 2PM. The event will help to educate parents on the dangers of child abductions and what they should address with their kids.
As one might imagine, drugs play a vital role in luring some children away from their homes, especially as children turn into teenagers. Jamond Davis with CADCOR told WGNS it is very important to sit down and talk with your children about not only abductions, but also drugs…
Again the event will be at the Patterson Park Community Center on Saturday between 10AM and 2PM.
