LA VERGNE, TN - A late-night crash led to a swift arrest after a driver slammed into a Murfreesboro home and fled the scene. The incident occurred just before midnight on May 17, 2025, when officers were dispatched to Chyntara Drive following reports of a vehicle striking a residence. Fortunately, no one inside the home was injured.

Field sobriety tests were administered, and the driver was taken into custody for driving under the influence. A further check revealed that the suspect also had outstanding warrants from Smyrna, including charges of felony evading and a previous DUI offense.
Authorities praised the teamwork and quick response of the officers involved, emphasizing how their diligence helped remove a dangerous driver from local roads. “This is a perfect example of how swift, coordinated action protects our community,” officials said in a statement.
Residents are reminded to report suspicious or reckless activity. The Murfreesboro Police Department continues to prioritize public safety, with officers actively patrolling city streets to respond to emergencies at a moment’s notice.
