This year’s Folkfest promises to be a thrilling cultural spectacle, with dance troupes visiting from Puerto Rico, Poland, and Estonia. Hosted by the Cripple Creek Cloggers—Middle Tennessee’s own goodwill ambassadors—the event is set to take place from June 8-15, 2025, offering audiences across the region an unforgettable experience.
Founder Steve Cates expressed deep gratitude for the generous financial support pouring in from local individuals and organizations. “We are so grateful to have financial support from people and groups in the area. It is quite a mountain to climb to feed, house, and transport our 80 guests during the eight days they are here. We thank Van Hadaway for his generous contribution and for securing financial support from his fellow Masons, including Rockvale Masonic Lodge #413 F&AM, Mt. Moriah Lodge #18 F&AM, and Corinthian Lodge #8 F&AM,” he shared. More supporters will be honored in the coming week.
In its 59th year, the Cripple Creek Cloggers will join the international troupes in showcasing dances, music, and traditions from around the world. Cates reiterated the excitement of the event, saying, “With dance groups from around the world, the International Folkfest promises to be a week of excitement and education for Middle Tennessee.”
With colorful costumes, lively performances, and a spirit of unity, the Folkfest is sure to delight audiences of all ages. Don’t miss your chance to be part of this joyous celebration—come out and enjoy the fun!
