A CNT with the Tennessee Veterans Home on Compton Road in Murfreesboro is accused of assaulting a patient. The unnamed Nursing Technician is being investigated for allegedly punching a 73-year old wheelchair bound man in the face. The suspect has been employed with the department since 2008 and according to the police incident report, he has been accused of another incident of sorts in 2010. Unconfirmed reports indicate that incident was not an assault.
No arrest has been made in this most recent accusation and the report stated that there are no witnesses to the allegation that was officially filed with the M-P-D on May 24th (2013). The report was filed by the administrator of the veterans home. WGNS is withholding names of those involved until an arrest has been made or a warrant has been filed.
