LA VERGNE, Tenn. (WGNS) - Around 11:00 p.m. on Saturday, residents near La Vergne High School noticed a heavy police presence that quickly became the focus of local chatter. A BOLO (Be on the Lookout) broadcast revealed that a stolen vehicle had fled from Smyrna Police and was headed toward La Vergne.

La Vergne officers swiftly deployed to the area and located the vehicle abandoned on Wolverine Trail. The suspects had already fled on foot. Officers began canvassing the vicinity while awaiting the arrival of Smyrna Police, who then assumed control of the investigation.

La Vergne Police Chief Christopher Moews (pronounced "Mays") commended his team’s prompt action, saying, “We appreciate our officers’ swift response and continued cooperation with our neighboring agencies.”

Authorities are urging residents along Wolverine Trail to review any home security footage that may aid in identifying the individuals involved. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Smyrna Police Department. Even a small detail could prove crucial in resolving the case.
