Well, is it that time of year again for motorcycle thefts to start increasing or was this just a one time affair? The first motorcycle theft of the summer was reported in the ‘Boro on May 26th. A waiter at O’Charleys in Franklin said his 2008 Yamaha R6 was stolen from Waterford Place Apartments on South Church Street. The bike was in the parking lot when it was taken.
Last year, WGNS reported about 8-motorcycle thefts over a 6-month period. Those thefts appeared to have slowed, but they may be on the upswing again. As far as recovering the missing bikes, we do not have any theft recoveries to bring you up to date on.
