We are continuing to follow the story involving the death of John Q. Hammons who was laid to rest on Tuesday in Missouri. Hammons is the developer who built Embassy Suites Hotel and Conference Center in Murfreesboro on Medical Center Parkway. City Manager Rob Lyons told WGNS…

Hammons came from a poor Depression-era childhood to later be the founder of a multi-million dollar realestate company that specialized in hotels all across the nation. In fact, he built more than 200 hotels. He was 94 when he died over the Memorial Day Weekend.
