EAGLEVILLE, Tenn. (WGNS) - There were smiles and excitement in the air as Eagleville School held a special field dedication to celebrate the launch of its brand-new soccer program. The ceremony Wednesday morning marked the beginning of a new chapter in athletics at the school, starting with a middle school team led by first head coach Samantha Jackson.
The vision is for the program to grow with the students—eventually expanding into a full high school sport. Currently, Eagleville high schoolers who want to play soccer co-op with Central Magnet School, but the hope is that in the coming years, they'll have the opportunity to represent Eagleville on the field themselves.
It was a proud moment for the community, signaling progress, opportunity, and a lot of future goals—both on and off the field.
