UPDATED on WEDNESDAY MORNING: MURFREESBORO, TN – A 21-year-old Murfreesboro man was arrested Sunday after allegedly arranging to meet a 13-year-old in a local parking lot. Police confirmed, “[Noah] Billings had been communicating with a person online whom he thought was a minor. Despite being repeatedly told the boy’s age, Billings continued the sexual conversations and arranged to meet in person. Billings is charged with solicitation of a minor.”
According to information from the recent arrest, Noah Ladwain Billings was charged with solicitation of a minor – sexual activity involving a minor (T.C.A. 39-13-529). The arrest was made by Detective Kyle Ferree in the parking lot of a shopping center located at 1660 Memorial Boulevard. The shopping center houses several businesses that cater to teens and young adults, including a rock climbing facility, a bicycle shop, and on one end of the building, a child care center.
In relation to where the suspect calls home, reports indicate the location of where he was arrested is about eight miles from Billings’ home in the Walter Hill community.
When WGNS reached out to the MPD, Public Information Officer Larry Flowers originally told WGNS he first needed to secure details from the detective to ensure it could be released, "We are waiting on detective approval for the arrest of the 21-year-old." However police posted on their social media page, “MPD reports, “Officers took Noah Billings, 21, into custody at a restaurant on Memorial Boulevard following an investigation.”
Billings was booked into the Rutherford County Jail on Sunday, but released Monday after posting a $10,000 bond. He is facing a Class A misdemeanor charge.
- COURT UPDATE: WGNS NEWS confirmed on Wednesday morning (08/27/2025) that Billings now has an upcoming “Criminal Hearing” scheduled to take place on September 29, 2025 in the Rutherford County Courts. Reports from the court system show that he will appear before Judge Ben Hall McFarlin, III at 8:30 in the morning on Monday, 09/29/2025.
