Learn About Forest Stewardship, Deer Management, and More in Tullahoma Event

TULLAHOMA, Tenn. – Foresters, landowners and those interested in the industry are welcome to attend the Woods and Wildlife Field Day presented by the University of Tennessee Forest Resources AgResearch and Education Center on October 23. The event will be at the Highland Rim Forest in Tullahoma.

An optional networking breakfast will be served from 7-8 a.m. (CDT), and the program begins at 8 a.m. Morning sessions include several speakers from the UT Institute of Agriculture School of Natural Resources, UT Extension, the UT Department of Biosystems Engineering and Soil Science and the forestry industry on topics that include:

During lunch, there will be a Skydio drone demonstration and an overview of the Jack Daniels Seed Orchard. After lunch, attendees may take an optional tour of the orchard in Lynchburg. Transportation to the orchard will be by carpool.

The Highland Rim Forest of the Forest Resources AgResearch and Education Center is located at 623 UT Farm Road, Tullahoma, 37388.

The Forest Resources AgResearch and Education Center is based in Oak Ridge and includes three forest units in East and Middle Tennessee covering more than 11,400 acres.
