MURFREESBORO, Tenn. — The Murfreesboro Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in locating 17-year-old Cecilia Sarmadi, who was last seen by her father on August 19, 2025, around 7:00 a.m. while waiting to board her school bus. Authorities say Cecilia never arrived at school that morning and has not been seen since. The MPD posted on social media that the teen has now been missing for approximately 60-days.
Police reports indicate that Cecilia left her phone at home, and her current whereabouts and means of travel remain unknown. At the time she was last seen, Cecilia was wearing a white T-shirt, blue jeans, and carrying a blue Nike backpack. She is described as being 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighing approximately 130 pounds, with no known medical conditions and not currently taking any medication.
Cecilia’s father reported her missing later that day after school officials confirmed she had not attended classes. The case has been entered into the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) as an active missing person investigation.
