RUTHERFORD COUNTY, TN - Rutherford County Schools has launched a coordinated, district-wide initiative to collect and distribute non-perishable food and essential household supplies, aiming to support families in need throughout the community. Multiple schools across the county are hosting donation drives throughout November, highlighting the district’s commitment to helping students and families beyond the classroom.

Schools participating in the effort are collecting a wide range of items, including pantry staples like canned goods, microwaveable meals, Ramen noodles, and individually wrapped snacks. Many schools are also accepting household cleaning products and hygiene supplies to provide additional support to families facing hardship.

Donations may be dropped off at the front office of participating schools during regular school hours. Some schools may require donors to complete an online form before delivering items, depending on their internal tracking process.

This community-wide effort reflects Rutherford County Schools’ ongoing mission to care for students and families both inside and outside the school walls — especially during times of increased need.
