RUTHERFORD COUNTY, TN - This weekend marks the 32nd annual Art Studio Tour, hosted by the Stones River Crafts Association in the Rutherford County / Stones River region. Established in 1993, the event gives visitors access to the working studios of local artisans and craftspeople—inviting you behind the scenes to see how one-of-a-kind treasures are created. Artist Judy Heim focuses her talents on pottery, and her studio is one of the stops during the event. But Heim confirmed she’s not the only stop you’ll make during this weekend’s three-day event...
During the Art Studio Tour, you can expect to see live demonstrations at most of the locations... Several of the studios between Lascassas, Murfreesboro and Bell Buckle will feature multiple artists working across a variety of media.
The best part about attending, according to those who’ve participated in years past, is the intimate look into creative spaces that are often off the beaten path. Heim commented on one of her favorite parts of being a pottery artist...
All of the Art Studios on the tour will be open to the public for FREE - THIS WEEKEND, November 21 (Friday) through the 23rd (Sunday), between 10AM and 5PM each day.
Another hallmark that makes this tour stand out is the diversity of artistic expression and the genuine “meet the maker” vibe. Whether you're drawn to textile art, traditional craft, mixed media, or paint, you’re sure to discover something both intriguing and inspiring. Logan Hickerson, another local artist, mastered the craft of woodworking and learned some of his skills early-on as a child through his father... It isn’t just about viewing objects—it’s about experiencing the process, connecting with the creators, and discovering the stories and techniques that drive local craftsmanship.
Beginning this Friday (11/21/2025), you can be a part of an ideal outing for art lovers, couples, families, and anyone curious about how creativity thrives in Middle Tennessee. The fun will come to an end on Sunday (11/23/2025) evening at 5pm.
